Introducing the debugger

Before you can begin to diagnose and fix errors in your application, or simply trace through a process, you're going to need to get familiar with the debugger.

In this recipe, you will learn how to launch the debugger from Visual Studio Code to debug an AL session.

Getting ready

You're going to need an AL project to work in that's connected to a development sandbox. We will continue to build on the Television Show project that we've been working with in the previous chapters. If you have not completed all of the chapters, download the project from the GitHub link at the start of this chapter.
