Technical requirements

The following requirements need to be met to get all of the examples in this chapter to work:

For working with OData services: You will require SAP NetWeaver Gateway, which is included in SAP NetWeaver 7.40+ (the minimum components are SAP_GWFND or GW_CORE with IW_FND)
For IDoc: IDocs from SAP systems Release 3.1x or higher is supported
For ALE: ALE is available with SAP Release 3.0

Philipp came in contact with programming in 1996 (Turbo Pascal) since then he has worked as an IT specialist. In 2001 he achieved SAP certification for BC and Workbench and in the same year started working as an ABAP Developer. He is currently employed at Capgemini as L2 Architect. Philipp also has experience in development of custom solutions and integration of SAP modules such as MM, PP, LO, SD, FI, HR on ERP Releases 3.1 up to S/4 and integration of SAP CRM, SAP BW, SAP PO.
