Introduction

Many modern web applications include some way for users to register and log in. To make sure our application and our users' information is secure, we need to make sure that each user is properly authenticated. Laravel includes a great Auth class that makes this task very easy to accomplish. In this chapter, we'll begin with setting up our own authentication system, and move on to using third-party authentication in our Laravel app.
