Scenario 1 – E-Commerce
You are the IT Director for an e-commerce company. Historically all of your infrastructure has been deployed on-premises and you are dealing with some legacy infrastructure. Thanks to some work done by your coworkers, your application is already broken down into a few different services. You are currently hosting a self-managed Kubernetes cluster that can’t scale beyond the on-premises environment. You also have some services that you are running as functions. The team would like to offload infrastructure management in order to focus on other projects such as security and reliability.
