Another option for managing documents from Dynamics 365 is to leverage OneDrive for Business. While both OneDrive for Business and SharePoint provide cloud document storage, the intent of how these should be used is quite different.
Note that files stored in OneDrive for Business default to private, unless specifically set up for sharing. This is a major difference that should be taken into consideration.
As such, when considering which file storage is better and how to use these options, we should think of OneDrive as a personal storage mechanism. We can store files in OneDrive when they are in draft, and before we are ready to share them with the rest of the organization.
