Sales-specific entities are entities that are used mainly within the Sales module. Some of these include Leads, Opportunities, and Competitors, as well as additional collateral entities such as Quotes, Orders, Invoices, Products, and Sales Literature. Another set of entities directly related to Sales module includes Goals and Goal Metrics, which are used to track sales performance.
When customizing the system, the scope of each of the existing entities can be changed simply by modifying the navigation and its associations. For example, a new entity can be made accessible only through a specific application, or an entity from one application can be surfaced in another.
Furthermore, a custom application can be created to either reduce the navigational scope for specific user roles or to surface elements from multiple applications into a single, unified interface.
