Summary

After reading this chapter, you should now have a much better understanding of what an MITM attack is and how devastating it can be. Many users are not aware of how easily an MITM attack can be set up over a public wireless network. By completing the MITMF lab, you obtained a level of awareness that will greatly benefit you as both a user and a cyber security professional. This chapter also provided excellent installation and troubleshooting experience for the same security tools that are currently being used in the field. We recommend practicing the MITMF lab until you feel comfortable with the syntax. Also feel free to explore the other modules of MITMF. Exploring will further enhance your understanding, knowledge, and defense methods against this type of attack.
