Understanding how OneNote uses containers to capture information
Because OneNote acts like a giant whiteboard, you can literally type anywhere. Most of us are accustomed to typing along the left margin of a page, which you can do in OneNote, but you don't have to start there.
A container is created once you start typing. This container can start anywhere on your page, and you can move it anywhere, too. Let's see what it looks like to have a container for your information:
As shown in Figure 4.1, a container in OneNote creates a box around your information. This box will automatically expand with the information that you put inside it, as long as you do this properly. More on that in the Where you click first makes all the difference section.
