Arranging your notes so they work well and look good
Learn basic formatting for text in OneNote, as well as highlighting and using styles. Just as you can format text in your favorite Word document or Excel spreadsheet, you can also format your notes in OneNote. The icons on the Home toolbar for text formatting are very similar to the icons you see in other Microsoft programs.
Let's start with the basic text formatting choices for our notebooks.
Basic text formatting
Format your text before you type or after. If you format your text after you have typed it, then you need to select that text first.
Formatting your text could be related to the font or to the actual positioning (aligning) of that text. Let's look at our font choices first. Font-related choices in OneNote are located on the Home toolbar; please refer to Chapter 2, Screen Layout and Toolbars, for a full description of toolbar icons.
