Reporting Services point


As the name suggests, the Reporting Services point provides us with a large number of reports about our Configuration Manager installation and the clients reporting to it. It is installed in almost all Configuration Manager implementations, so we should really know how to work with this role in case of any issues. In simple terms, we are looking at a view of a Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services instance as this is what provides the underlying technology for this role. This being the case, a certain amount of your troubleshooting may occur within SQL itself; however, there are still a number of things to check and be aware of from within the Configuration Manager console and log files.
