Summary
In this chapter, we covered details on why post go-live support is so critical and how user forums help the production support team as well as the project team get feedback. We saw the benefits of how regular user forums are designed, tailored, and facilitated in a way that meets your end user’s needs helps the end user to continuously learn and understand the system better, and achieve the desired level of user adoption. A good adoption implies that we truly understood the business needs during our elicitation activity. We designed and developed the right solution, tested the system, and trained the end users well. Finally, we created and followed a sound production support plan. Production support should be planned and executed just like a project with the right set of resources, keeping it lively.
