Summary
In this chapter, we have learned how video games present a valuable source of synthetic data. We learned that biometric, demographic, and gameplay data can be collected from video games and can be utilized for myriads of ML-based applications. We gained insight into how and why various types of data about the player can be collected from video games. Finally, we discussed the main limitations of using video games for synthetic data generation.
In the next chapter, we will delve into another method for generating synthetic data, using diffusion models.
