Scripting in scoped applications


The OOTB ServiceNow platform comes preinstalled with many different types of scripts which are required for proper functioning of the platform. When we create a script, depending upon our application scope selection, it will become part of either the global or some private custom application scope. We have already covered the benefits of creating an application scope instead of directly creating custom features in the global scope.

Writing scripts for scoped applications enables us to associate scripts to specific applications and features. It enables us to easily manage feature updates and migration. When we create an application, depending upon the selected application scope picker, the script becomes part of that selected application.
