Cloud computing challenges
Some of the leading challenges that companies may encounter with cloud computing can be avoided using appropriate methods. The following are a few such examples:
- Migrating workloads: The migration of data, applications, and servers between cloud providers should be planned and executed with precision. The same considerations apply when transferring on-premises workloads to the cloud as they do when transferring between clouds. It is sometimes difficult to download data quickly enough, causing higher fees.
- Downtime: Migration to the cloud entails a significant risk of downtime. In addition to data consistency, network connections, and preparing for downtime during internal applications, the migration process should be completed with consistency.
