Photo Restoration and Portrait Retouching in Affinity Photo

When it comes to studying photo editing, two other common areas of specialization are photo restoration and portrait retouching. While these are two separate specialties that deal with separate objectives, with photo restoration being used to restore older/damaged photographs and portrait retouching being used in the beauty industry, the tools are very similar. The most common tools used in both these applications are commonly referred to as Healing tools. This includes tools that either clone areas of desirable photos into others or remove undesirable things such as cars, scratches, and blemishes on the skin.

While it is impossible to give you all the tools, or all the possible workflows for these activities, I have attempted to give you a working knowledge of the most common ones I use in my daily edits.
