Summary
In this chapter, we covered a lot of very interesting and important topics that you can apply to your defense strategy.
First, we learned how to create a vulnerability assessment, including an overview of the most common types of vulnerabilities to help you create the best assessment. Then, we expanded into one of the core aspects of cyber defense: risk management. Here, we learned how to manage cybersecurity risks, and also looked at one of the most famous frameworks in cybersecurity: the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
Additionally, as discussed in the previous chapter, availability is one of the core principles in cybersecurity. Therefore, to avoid downtime, we learned how to create a BCP, including a deep dive into its most important components: the BIA and the DRP.
