Organizations


As mentioned earlier, we can use organizations to represent the enterprise Palm Tree Publications and its department's hierarchy. In the preceding chapter, we created the organization Palm Tree under the topic "Building the Palm Tree Publications site", which we will be treating as the top-level organization. Palm Tree will represent the whole company and will have different departments under it as a set of suborganizations. Now we can create an organization hierarchy under "Palm Tree".

Therefore, the enterprise can be represented as a regular organization of the type Regular Organization.

On the right-hand side, you can see the Organization Site link, where you can select the checkbox to create the site for the organization. The name and description of the site will be automatically synced with those of the organization (to save the administrator time).

As you can see, there is a toolbar used for top-level navigation. This toolbar is located at the top of the New Organizations...
