In this chapter, you learned the role of some important classes, such as UIResponder and UITouch. Now, you know how events are propagated through your view hierarchy and how you can improve user experience through gestures and touch handling.

In the next chapter, we will go another step further. It is finally time to create your very own custom control using many of the concepts that we went through so far and deal with the implementation of nontrivial user interfaces.
