Summary

In this chapter, we designed a collections management integration.

We started off by describing a real-world scenario for a fictional business called RideRight Bike Parts Company, which had a need for better collections management to improve cash flow. We identified the use cases and reframed them as CRM workflows that we needed to implement:

  • Ability to view ERP invoices in CRM, including:

    • Ability to use invoice information when using CRM interactions feature

    • Ability to view invoice information in CRM reports and dashboards

We then designed the integration solution using the real-world applications of SageCRM and Sage ERP 300 to provide some context. We followed the same design steps outlined in the previous chapters. In the workshops, the reader was asked to follow along using their CRM and ERP applications.

We discussed the security implications of the changes we are making. Finally we summarized the UI customizations that will be required for the collections management integration.
