I hope that you have understood the building blocks of the hybrid cloud. We now know that the first step in deploying a hybrid cloud is the architecture and configuration of the underpinning services such as network, DNS, and infrastructure core services.Â
For use cases that are more passive - such as DR and backup services, since it's a one time setup, the setup is done manually. However, for use cases such as creating isolated environments or cloud bursting, an orchestrator is normally used.
One type is the orchestrator, which is used to simply provision the virtual machines and services in both the private and the public cloud. This can be used for the isolated use case.
The other type of orchestrator extends between the clouds and performs infrastructure plumbing in order to perform cloud bursting.Â
