Measuring Healthcare Quality

This chapter is intended for all audiences and will show you how healthcare providers are evaluated and rewarded/penalized under current value-based programs in the US. We will look at examples of actual provider data that's been downloaded from the web and wrangle it all using Python to extract the information we need. By the end of this chapter, you will be able to locate provider-based data on a given program of interest and manipulate it in pandas to identify those providers who are high-performing and those who could benefit from an analytic solution.
