Creating path animations with Keynote

You can already animate images and video in iMovie with keyframes, so why would you want to do this in Keynote? Well, animation in Keynote has three key advantages over iMovie, and if any of them are crucial to your project, you’ll want to use Keynote instead:

  • You can export animations with transparent backgrounds
  • You can animate multiple objects at once
  • You can rotate objects to a 1-degree accuracy and rotate relative to a path

We’ve already seen the advantages that exporting with transparency can give us when it comes to titles. Let’s explore the other advantages by animating a little scene of a countryside road.
