In the previous section, we mentioned that an alert rule can notify or act in response to an alert through action groups. As you have seen, an action group is a collection of actions or notifications that are triggered when an alert is fired. It serves as a container that defines what should happen when an alert condition is met. Action groups can be reused across multiple alert rules, which makes it easy to manage responses to different types of alerts consistently. Each action group can contain multiple actions and can notify different teams or trigger different processes. An alert rule can have up to five associated action groups, which run concurrently.
