He graduated in Telecommunication Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan, and he specialized in Windows and Virtualization technologies, becoming both a Microsoft and a VMware Certified Professional. Over the last 7 years, he has worked mainly for ING Direct, Italy, where he helped to design, develop, and evolve the IT infrastructure of the bank. Some projects he was involved in include call center virtualization, design of bankshop infrastructures, outsourcing part of the back office, and insourcing the core banking backend. In the past, he worked as a Java/C# developer. Now, he leverages his programming skills to write scripts and programs to automate administrative tasks.He designs, implements, and administers XenApp farms for different customers. Citrix® Profile Management

Citrix Profile Management is a software component that provides an easy and reliable way to manage user profiles in Windows environments. It was developed to solve some of the well-known problems of Windows roaming profiles and provide users with faster logons and logoffs.

Tip

Some third-party profile management solutions such as RES Workspace Manager, AppSense, and so on are available. A good comparison is available in the User Environment Management Smackdown whitepaper (http://www.pqr.com/user-environment-management-smackdown).

XenApp 7.5 includes the new Version 5.0 of Citrix Profile Management, and it is installed by default when you install the Virtual Delivery Agent, as shown in the following screenshot:
