Summary
In this chapter, we took a closer look at how GoReleaser and GitHub Actions can work together to make releasing a CLI application a breeze. First, we got to know GoReleaser, a handy tool that makes building, testing, and deploying Go binary packages a snap. We went over the default configuration file and also talked about some simple tweaks you can make to fit your needs. Then, we explored GitHub Actions and how to integrate them with GoReleaser.
By the end of this chapter, we had a good understanding of how to use these tools to create a seamless and efficient release process, complete with publishing on Homebrew. Releasing through Homebrew opens up the possibility of reaching more users who prefer to use package managers.
