Creating a Baby Dragon - Part 4: Baking and Painting Textures

The baby dragon is ready for reptilian camouflage, spiny scales, calloused claws, and glowing runes. All of these will come through the little scamp's textures and material setup. The high-poly dragon sculpture will come back into play as we recapture its details using a process called baking. Next, we'll create new textures through Blender's texture painting tools and supplement them with external painting programs. With good bakes and textures, we'll have the ingredients necessary to build an organic creature's materials and render them out in Eevee. An example of the final baking and materials setup can be found in the project file
