Summary
In this chapter, we reviewed several best practices for developing applications in Power Apps from a testing perspective. We explored the importance of debugging and how to test Power Apps using in-app tools such as Checker, Tracing, or Monitor, while highlighting the significance of collaboration in the development process, and how to achieve this through proper commenting and documentation.
To turn data from our app into useful information, several tools and capabilities were presented. This opened up a whole new perspective on how to visualize the information with Application Insights' features, Process Advisor’s upcoming integration, and open source applications shared by Power CAT.
Lastly, we looked at the Power Apps testing automation tools matrix as a way to contextualize the different features and testing automation tools available for Power Apps, such as Testing Studio, Testing Engine, and EasyRepro.
