Rendering your reports

So far, we have seen how to create report snippets and combine them in a layout. Once all of our pieces are defined and combined, we need to compose the report itself. This is achieved using the Render tool, which will allow us to translate those layouts and snippets into complete documents in various formats.

The Output Mode dropdown shows the format options available. These options are available:

The supported formats are as follows:

  • HTML files (*.html).
  • Composer files (*.pcxml).
  • PDF documents (*.pdf): PDF output is limited to 8,191 pages. If you generate a large number of PDF files, you might experience degraded performance. We recommend a record limit of 500 per PDF output. For large PDF files, we recommend a smaller record limit.
