Setting a migration threshold
You can control the migration recommendations that vSphere DRS can generate or apply. Each migration recommendation generated by DRS will have a priority level associated with it, based on the level of load imbalance in the cluster.
The migration threshold will determine which priority recommendations are to be displayed or applied. The threshold can be modified at the cluster settings page.
How to do it…
The following procedure will guide you through the steps required to set a migration threshold:
From the vCenter's inventory home navigate to the Hosts and Clusters view.
Select the cluster and navigate to Manage | Settings | vSphere DRS and click on Edit.
At the Edit Cluster Settings page, click on DRS Automation to expand it and view the available options. Use the Migration Threshold slider to adjust the threshold level.
Click on OK to apply the changes and reconfigure the cluster.
