Testing is exploring the system’s functionality and its usability in a systematic manner to find issues and report them as defects. After getting fixed, these defects will be retested.
In this chapter, we will cover technical and quality testing approaches and the role of the business analyst in making testing efforts effective and fruitful. We will review how to identify the skills needed by our tester, help them understand the intricacies of the system and business concepts, and aid them with identifying scenarios and the right set of usable test data.
