Formatting text

Once you've typed text, you have the option of formatting that text to choose a different appearance or style (bold, italics, or underline), along with indenting text or creating numbered or bullet lists. Formatting gives you a way to emphasize some or all of your text stored in a note.

To format text in a note, follow these steps:

1. Tap the Notes app on the Home screen.
2. Tap on the note that contains the text you want to format.
3. Select the text you want to format (double-tap a word and/or modify the selection). Notice a + icon that appears above the virtual keyboard, as shown in Figure 15.9:

4. Tap the + icon. A list of icons appears above the virtual keyboard, as shown in Figure 15.10:

5. Tap the Formatting icon. A list of formatting options appears at the bottom of the screen, as shown in Figure 15.11:
