What is 3D printing?
If you’re reading this book, there’s a chance that you already have been introduced to 3D printing in some way, but perhaps not necessarily one that covers the full scope of this amazing technology, how it works, and the different ways that it is used.
The first thing we need to know is that there are many different types of 3D printers, and I don’t just mean different brands. As we will learn, some 3D printers use liquid, others melt material, and some even construct models using living cell tissue! We’ll dive deeper into some of these concepts later, but it’s important to note that this is an incredibly diverse production technique that expands every year.
