Identify features and uses for sentiment analysis
As we saw in the NLP scenarios section, sentiment analysis is one of the tasks that can be provided by NLP as part of the language area of AI.
Sentiment analysis, also referred to as opinion mining, is an NLP technique that involves the identification and extraction of the sentiment, or emotional tone, from a body of text. The goal of sentiment analysis is to determine what emotions, attitudes, or opinions are conveyed by the text and whether they are positive, negative, or neutral.
The NLP technique of sentiment analysis uses ML algorithms or rule-based strategies that provide textual data that uses various sentiment classes to group it. The sentiments could then be labeled as positive, negative, or another granular scale of categorization, such as strongly positive, mildly positive, strongly negative, mildly negative, and so on.
