Summary
In this chapter, we covered the particular scenarios in which we need to customize our deployment methods without using the native Full Infrastructure model.
We've covered how to configure a streaming server using the HTTP protocol, which is highly necessary in several implementations, mainly because using a common protocol, such as port 80, facilitates communication between networks. We also had the chance to review an important matter, how to configure HTTP publishing in addition to streaming.
Standalone scenarios are also very common in App-V, which can be configured to stream applications located locally on each computer or to stream them from a file server. The main benefit of any of these two is that the implementation cost is really low since it does not require any server.
Securing communications is also covered in this chapter. We also covered configuring RTSPS and HTTPS communications, not only for a Management Server but also for streaming servers (Web or native App-V).
