In this chapter, we introduced the software project templates that come with Jira Software and the two main agile methodologies it supports, namely Scrum and Kanban. We talked about how you can run projects in each of the methodologies using Jira and the features it provides.
We also looked at some of the customization options that are available for you as the project owner so that you can configure the agile board to fit your needs. We looked at how to customize the board's columns to better adapt to your team's workflow and also looked at using swimlanes to group similar issues together. We also looked at how to create quick filters to easily filter out irrelevant issues from view so that we can focus on the issues that matter.
In the next chapter, we will look at issues, the key data you work with in your projects, and what you can do with it.
