Summary
In this chapter, we reviewed the design aspect of an implementation project. After the requirement document is signed off and the fit-gap process is completed, the consultant starts the design documentation process. We started the chapter with topic finding the right app for your business needs and discussed the of evaluation, selection criteria, and engagement of ISVs solutions on the project. There are many common features that can fill the gaps further or complement your custom solution design; we went through them briefly to understand how you can use them in your solution design. We concluded with the functional and technical aspects of the design, primarily around the generation of functional, solution, and technical design documents.
