Creating custom Business Cards

Although the visual layout of the Sametime Business Cards cannot be changed, the attributes, values, and data source can be changed. In a standard Sametime server installation, the Business Card attribute values are populated from the values stored in the LDAP or Domino Directory used for authentication. In some cases, you may not want to maintain user contact information and photos in your actual Domino Directory. You may have a pre-existing Domino application that already has that information, and you would prefer to access the data from that source. As the Business Card information is held in the userinfoconfig.xml file stored on the Sametime Community Server, you can edit that file to make modifications to the standard configuration. Editing the userinfoconfig.xml file allows you to make the following customizations:

• Use a custom application

• Use multiple attributes for a single value

• Populate the Business Card from dual repositories
