Summary
In this chapter, we have taken a look through the Appearance section of the Drupal administration area, and used this to enable additional themes, enable and disable parts of the theme (for example, site slogan), update the logo and shortcut icon, and change the colors the theme uses.
We have also taken a brief look at the steps that would be involved in creating a custom theme for our site, so if we create a design to use, or commission someone to design the site for us, we could convert it into a theme for our site. This includes the core files required for a theme, where the theme files reside, and the structure of .info
files.
With our theme customized, and some pointers for how we can create a custom theme, we can move onto Chapter 9, Communicating With Our Users.
