The MLX90614 IR sensor
The MLX90614 sensor, manufactured by the company Melexis, is a powerful yet compact IR sensor. This sensor uses IR rays to measure the amount of heat generated by the human body or by basically any object. Being a non-contact thermometer, it reduces chance of spreading disease when checking the body temperature, and you don't need to clean it.
The MLX0-614 is technically a sensor contained in an integrated circuit (IC), since it has extra electronic components and smaller circuits, including an ADC, a voltage regulator, and a digital-signal processor (DSP).
