Adding Images to Your Documents
In this chapter, we are going to look at how to work with images in your documents. You will learn how to insert images, and then manipulate them independently of the frames that hold them. We will also look at how to resize images, apply a range of fitting options, and understand image resolution and its impact. Later in the chapter, we will look at how missing links can occur in your documents and why and how to fix them, as well as modified links and how to update them. Finally, we will look at the Text Wrap feature, learn how to wrap text around your images, and fine-tune this by adjusting the Offset and Wrap To features.
These are the recipes we will cover in this chapter:
- Placing images into InDesign
- Adjusting images versus frames
- Resizing images
- Applying fitting to images
- Checking the image resolution
