Data nexus

Once you have populated your metadata, Alteryx Connect can begin populating relationships between data assets. For example, Alteryx Connect can find the different locations where a data asset has been used and identify that asset's lineage and popularity. This lineage is displayed to the user in the Data Nexus seen in the following screenshot:

At the center of the nexus is the data source you are examining. The nexus shows the relationship between the data source and its inputs and outputs. The simple relationship example shown can also be expanded with any transformations applied to the raw data to generate the final data source.

When examining an intermediate data source, you can explore the data source lineage back to its source and follow the additional transformations and output data sources.
