Chapter 6: New Algorithms in Public/Private Key Cryptography

In 2001, I met a person who played an important role in my professional life; his pseudonym is Terenzio.

It was a sunny summer day; Terenzio was going back and forth running toward a tube slide and then into a swimming pool. I was reading a journal in the shade when I heard a particular voice that repeated some strange mathematical formulas. Time after time, Terenzio passed near me after jumping into the swimming pool. Terenzio is an autistic guy, and he suffers from dyslexia, which affects his speech. However, mother nature gave him a big gift; he can literally see big numbers in his mind, and in particular, prime numbers. We became friends, and I investigated his formulas. I have to be grateful to Terenzio even though I am writing this book on cryptography. The inventions I have created during my 20-year career are dedicated to, and in part are the merit of, Terenzio.
