Application variables
There are some application variables that determine the behavior of an application. Inside the application, all the variables are stored inside this
scope. The scope refers to the location where the .cfc
file is found. Generally, this is not considered a good practice because the variables are not protected from outside the object. In Application.cfc
, this is not an issue because there is no code to create an instance of the object for reuse. The following are the application-scoped variables in Appliation.cfc
that you will use.

This is the application name. If you do not set this variable, or set it to the empty string, your CFC applies to the unnamed application scope, which is the ColdFusion MX J2EE servlet context.
