Summary

In this chapter, we reviewed the foundations of the warehouse management processes that we can implement with Dynamics Supply Chain Management, starting with how we can design and configure a warehouse while breaking down zones and aisles into locations.

Then, we reviewed how to connect and configure the warehouse management app and design its menus and menu items for a smooth user experience.

After that, we looked at the three foundation blocks of the warehouse management module – work templates, wave templates, and location directives – and how to combine them to set up almost every use case scenario.

This chapter covered all the possible setups that can be done in warehouse management to follow the defining inbound and outbound processes that will be discussed in the next chapter.
