Creating solids and surfaces along a path
The last command to create solids and surfaces from linear objects is presented next.
The SWEEP command
The SWEEP
command (no alias) creates a solid or surface by extruding sections along a path. If the section is open or if the MOde option is set to Surface, a surface is created.
The path can be a line, arc, elliptical arc, 2D or 3D polylines, 2D or 3D splines, circles, ellipses, helixes, and surface or solid edges.
This command starts by displaying the same information as in previous commands and asks for one or more objects that define the section:

By default, we select the linear object that defines the path, and the sweep object is created. The section is placed normal to the path with its center aligned to it:
