“Correctness” of Data
There really are two aspects to the “correctness” of data. One aspect is the accuracy of the data value. For example, if the number “7” should be the number “9,” that data value would be considered inaccurate.
The other aspect to the correctness of data is the structural correctness of data. This is an issue when in one spreadsheet, the vehicle identification number is the one the manufacturer designates. In another spreadsheet, the vehicle identification number is the shipping number used in transport of the vehicle. The problem is not necessarily that these two numbers are different, but that these two numbers have a different significance.
