Succeeding in live coding
The live coding interview is probably the most intimidating in the process.
It’s easy to understand why – for most developers, it’s a stage that is an uncomfortable situation in any case.
For a start, in most cases, we aren’t working in our beloved (to some of us) Xcode. We are required to handle tasks that we usually don’t face in our day-to-day work, and we’re doing that under pressure while someone is watching us at every step.
The reason why I said “probably” and “most developers” at the start of this section is that it doesn’t have to be intimidating. Sure, live coding is a stressful interview, but we can make it exciting and much more joyful with the right approach.
Skeptical? Don’t be! Throughout the preceding 12 chapters, we have observed that proper preparation can make anything achievable.
