CONTENT EXCHANGE
Throughout this book, there were several areas where we discussed exporting your configurations, custom reports, scripts, universal device pollers, and templates from Orion NPM. The purpose of exporting your templates is not only for backups, but also for sharing. The CONTENT EXCHANGE page is SolarWinds' public online forum for sharing all of these exported files online. Sharing and downloading templates and content from the content exchange is completely free.
In the CONTENT EXCHANGE page, there is a separate forum area for all of SolarWinds' products where other customers post and share their own information and templates. I have personally used the content exchange to locate custom Universal Device Pollers for my APC power supplies, F5 Big-IP appliances, and more.
Several Thwack members have helped me accurately monitor UPS units, F5 BIG-IP appliances, and other network devices by sharing their Universal Device Pollers on the content exchange.
