In this chapter, we learned how to trigger events and handle e-mail notifications. We looked at the concept of event registry, along with the different ways events can be handled. We learned how to use business rules to queue events using the eventQueue method. Furthermore, we learned how to create e-mail templates and use them in notifications. In the next chapter, we will learn how to design workflows and use different kinds of activities to visually enhance the out-of-the-box features available in the ServiceNow platform without writing code.
