As shown in the preceding diagram, we will be updating the customer information in the Apptivo CRM application. So, let's add a few customers so that we can update their information:
- Log into Apptivo (apptivo.com). If this is your first time on the site, please sign up using the appropriate option.
- Once you've logged in, go to the CRM menu option and select Customers.
- Within the CUSTOMERS tab, use the Create option to create our customers, as shown in the following screenshot:
For now, we will only enter the names of the customers. We will update their information from a lookup site.
Let's add three customers called Amazon, Salesforce, and Uber. You can play around with other companies as well, but I suggest that you stick to these company names so that it's easier for you to step through the project creation process. It is important to have customer names that exist on our lookup site, that is, Crunchbase.com.
